There’s not a lot of bands I obsessed over in high school that still hold up for me.  This song still spooks me out.

Hadn’t seen this video before.  Live acoustic version of Stand for the Fire Demon by the great Roky Erickson.

The Kinks perform “Alcohol” on Beat-Club in 1972.

It’s the Best of the Animals.  Sure, listening to an old record of mine everyday may not appeal to everyone, but it’s my life and I’ll do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- do what I want- (it skips)

The last of the Andre Williams’ LPs is my personal favorite.  It’s SILKY on In the Red.  It’s got 2/3rds of the Gories for Pete’s sake.  Iggy wants to be your dog, but Andre would rather be your favorite pajamas.  Everyone should own a copy of this record, even if it is filthy.

Andre Williams Bait and Switch on Norton Records.  Not a bad way to start a day.

I see what I like, and I like what I see.
It’s Andre Williams The Black Godfather.  Featuring the Blues Explosion, Greg Oblivian, and the motherfucking Dirtbombs!  Produced by the great Mick Collins.
(My wife and I used to pretend Andre Williams was her grandfather.  TRUE STORY!)

Al Green’s “I’m Still In Love With You”
This guy tends to sing a lot about love, just an observation.  Today’s Al Green album means we are that much close to Andre Williams.

It just got real hot in here. We’re at Al Green’s Call Me.
On Monday we should have more Al, then I think we might be in Andre Williams territory.
